Efraim Kapulski is president and CEO of ABEMD (Associacao Brasileira de Marketing Direto – Brazilian Direct Marketing Association) since 2002. He is graduated in Communication – Advertising, and has a postgraduate degree in business administration.
Prior experiences include executive roles in many departments of Editora Abril, Brazil’s largest magazine publisher, where he worked as sales advertising manager for Playboy magazine, product manager for Exame, the most respected business publication in Latin America, director of the children’s and juvenile products division, and commercial director of Abril printing house, in charge of sales, public relations and multimedia special projects.
He was also executive director of magazines division at Editora Globo, a company that belongs to Brazil’s largest group of the communications industry.
He founded G&K Marketing Direto, an integrated market agency that won several awards including first places at The John Caples award, working with important companies as ABN Amro-Real, BankBoston, AIG- Unibanco, Bradesco, Brasil Telecom, Citibank, Credicard, Credibanco (The Bank of New York), Editora Globo, Editora Abril, Eternamatic, General Motors, Gradiente Eletronics, Grupo Accor, O Estado de Sao Paulo, Itau, Mastercard, Mercedes Benz, Santander, Sky, Subaru, Tissot, Toyota and Unicef.
International and domestic keynote speaker and panelist, Mr. Kapulski is member of FORCOM – Forum da Industria da Comunicacao (Communication Industry Forum) that brings together 37 associations from Brazil and of Global Symposium that gathers all direct marketing associations of the world.
